What are thermocouples used for?
The disposable thermocouple is a temperature sensor designed for measuring the temperature of liquid metal in the process of steelmaking and ironmaking. It can be used in electric furnaces, converters, refining furnaces, LF furnaces, oxygen blowing stations, ladles, tundishes, etc.

Disposable Thermocouples Principle

Disposable thermocouples are expendable thermocouples for fast temperature measurement. It is a temperature probe for measuring the temperature of molten steel and high-temperature molten metal.
Disposable thermocouples are used only through the connection of the temperature gun. It is manually or mechanically inserted into a 300-400mm high-temperature melt, and the obtained thermal electromotive is transmitted to an intelligent display device to obtain the temperature value of the melt.
The main temperature measuring part of the disposable thermocouple is the thermocouple tip. The thermocouple is composed of a compensation wire, a U-shaped quartz tube, a plastic bracket, a high-temperature mud tip, a protective cap and a paper tube.
