FAQs About the Disposable Thermocouple Tips
Disposable thermocouple tips are critical for measuring the temperature of molten steel. SEFU has a deep understanding of thermocouple tips, let’s explore more about thermocouple tips.
The disposable thermocouple tip is a temperature sensing element. It directly measures the temperature, converts the temperature signal into a thermoelectric power signal, and converts it into the temperature of the measured medium through the display instrument.
It is based on the thermoelectric effect of the metal, using the temperature difference generated at both ends of the thermocouple to measure the temperature of molten steel and high molten metal. It needs to be installed on the temperature measuring gun.
The disposable thermocouple tip is composed of thermocouple wire, compensation wire, bracket, quartz tube, anti-slag cap, and other parts. The positive and negative thermocouple wires are welded on the compensation wire and embedded in the bracket, the thermocouple wires are supported and protected by quartz. All the components are put into the mud head and bonded into a whole.
The basic principle of thermocouple temperature measurement is that two conductors of different composition form a closed loop. When there is a temperature gradient across the ends, there will be a current flow in the loop. At this time, there is an electromotive force between the two ends – thermal electromotive force.
